What exactly does Glob Data Analytics do?
Two things. We build complete ERP applications for the manufacturing and logistics domains — LogistICSA OneAI and SmartEngg OneAI. And we build AI products and AI-powered automation: Data Extraction, OneAI Report and Ask AI, which can run inside our platforms or be integrated into systems you already own.
Do I have to use your ERP to use your AI products?
No. Each AI product is available as an API Integration package, delivered as secured endpoints with structured JSON contracts for your existing application. Customers who do run our ERP get the AI layer wired directly into the transaction screens, which is faster to deploy and gives the AI better context — but it is not a prerequisite.
Where are you based, and where do you deliver?
We are based in Chennai, India. Delivery is a mix of on-site and remote depending on the engagement; production deployment is into your own environment.
How big is the team on a typical programme?
An AI programme of the scale we are currently running is staffed with a senior solution architect, two senior AI engineers, two AI engineers and a software tester. ERP engagements are sized to the module scope.
Products & packages
What is the difference between the three packages?
Standard Format uses our ready-built document templates, report layouts and prompt library — the fastest route to something working. Customized Format configures everything against your own layouts, business rules, terminology and reference data. API Integration delivers the capability as endpoints for your own application. They can be combined.
What document types can Data Extraction handle?
Customer and vendor invoices, purchase orders, bills of material, engineering drawings, customs documents, ICEGATE data, packing lists, test certificates, contracts, SOPs and manuals — in PDF or Excel, including scanned and image-based files. Document collections running to several hundred pages are supported through indexing and retrieval.
How accurate is the extraction?
Accuracy depends heavily on the consistency and quality of your source documents and reference material, so we do not publish a single headline figure. What we do instead is build a review step into every workflow: extracted values are presented for correction before anything is committed, each value carries a page-level source reference, and we build an evaluation set from your own documents during the project so accuracy can be measured on your data rather than ours.
Can OneAI Report run on a database we already have?
Yes, provided we can define the read access and the business rules that govern what each user is allowed to see. The reporting layer applies your existing authorisation rules to every request.
How much work is it to add Ask AI to a new screen?
Adding a screen means inserting configuration rows that define which queries apply to that form, plus a three-line initialisation snippet on the page. No change to the shared service and no redeployment of the AI layer.
Security & governance
Is our data sent to a third-party AI model?
Where a hosted model is used, the specific data a workflow needs is sent to it. We review the query and column list for every form before it is enabled, so only the fields a workflow actually requires are ever transmitted, and we exclude sensitive personal data from those queries by default. Where a customer's policy requires it, we scope the deployment accordingly — this is agreed in writing before any screen goes live.
Who holds the AI API credentials?
They stay server-side. Credentials are read by the backend service and are never sent to the browser or embedded in client-side code.
Can the AI change our data?
Ask AI is read-only by design. For extraction and generation workflows, AI output is presented as assistance for review and approval by your authorised personnel — a person commits the record, not the model.
What audit trail do we get?
Uploaded files, processing status, extracted results, the reference pages used, and the final output are all recorded. Every run can be reconstructed after the fact.
How is our confidential material handled?
All project information, engineering documents, customer requirements, catalogues, historical data and reference material supplied to us is treated as confidential and is not disclosed to third parties except where required for agreed technical services or with your written approval.
Projects & commercials
How are projects priced and paid?
AI programmes are typically milestone-based. Each milestone represents a measurable phase of work with defined deliverables. Commercial terms are shared as part of a written proposal after a scoping discussion — we do not publish rate cards, because the scope drives the number.
What does milestone acceptance actually mean?
Acceptance is based on demonstrable software capability and agreed deliverables, not on the passage of a calendar month. You receive a milestone demonstration and a deliverable package for review. Agreed defects within scope are recorded and addressed through the stabilisation and UAT process.
What happens when requirements change mid-project?
Changes to business rules, additional document types, new output formats, new reference systems or additional workflows outside the agreed scope are treated as change requests and evaluated jointly for time and cost. We would rather have that conversation than quietly absorb scope and miss a date.
How long does a typical AI programme take?
The multi-workstream programme currently in delivery is scoped at six to eight months across eight milestones, with all workstreams developed in parallel. A single focused workstream is considerably shorter.
Do you provide training and documentation?
Yes. User documentation, training and production deployment are part of the final milestone on every programme. Deeper capability building is available separately through our AI Training Program.
